This past Saturday, FOX Sports Arizona’s on-air talent Todd Walsh and producer Tom Elsner each brought home an individual Emmy award, and combined for another, at the 2014 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards ceremony.
The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences covers Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and El Centro, California, awarding excellence in television.
For the third consecutive year, Walsh won the Emmy Award for best “On-Camera Talent Anchor-Sports” and it marked the fourth time in the past five years that he was presented with the Emmy in this high profile category. The multi-talented Walsh, who is part of the network’s coverage of the D-backs & Coyotes, has now won 11 Emmys during his 13-year career with FOX Sports Arizona.
Elsner was awarded a statue for best “Editor – Program (non-news)” and fittingly, the combination of Elsner and Walsh also won the Emmy for best “Sports – Daily or Weekly Program” for their work on FOX Sports Arizona’s show about the Arizona Diamondbacks -“The 10th Inning.” Elsner has now won 12 Emmys during his career.
Since 2005, FOX Sports Arizona has now accounted for 53 Emmy Awards. Congratulations to Todd and Tom, and all of the other nominees, for all of their hard work and a job well done!
